Owen’s most recent contract took place rather further afield than usual – Signy Research Station on Antartica! As the resident technie on the base, his job was to ensure everything was in working order for British Antarctic Survey research scientists. He had responsibility for maintenance, reactive repair, support and upkeep of all electrical power generation, as well as maintaining the reverse osmosis plant which provided fresh water for the base.

On the Buses!
Another tricky but incredibly rewarding electrical installation was on an old London Routemaster bus! Working closely with South East Coachworks, the refit included providing power circuits for ovens, fridges and water heaters as well as lighting on top and bottom decks.

Insight Healthcare at Brogdale
Successful completion of electrical installation for Insight Healthcare at Brogdale. The work included the usual power and lighting for offices and consultation rooms, as well as installation of a fire alarm panel, emergency lighting and data cabling (with the capable assistance of James Swinyard!) and took around two weeks to complete. ...
